Stage 1: Belonging
We are all lost, or at least we feel as though we are untill we find that one person that feels like home, so that our worlds stop spinning and hearts start beating. But what if that one person makes you feel even more lost than you already are, even though you now feel so grounded. What if the one you love, the one you let your heart be bound to, destroys your soul and breaks you down so much that you lose yourself, so that you become dust, and peices of you start floating off in different directions, so that you are so far gone you dont know which way to find yourself. Even if that person does it through kindess and never really treats you wrong, but they are wrong for you in ways you dont see, even if they do it without meaning to, can we truly say that this is where our heart belongs? Can we truly say that this person makes us whole…because being whole is not being lost. And i used to think it was right to lose yourself in love, now i see you are meant to find yourself. So that even when they are gone, you never feel lost, because you are so complete that you realise they were just an addition to your heart, not the person who owns it. And when we find the one we love, we can love them with all our heart, because it truly is all ours, and know without fail that when they leave us, they will not shatter our hearts, nor take it with them. We own it, we hold it and we are complete because it is ours. Never to be hurt or lost or broken and always ready to love once more…
